Circular Economy and Sustainable Resource Management

The network ACR+ is organizing a two-day event on Circular Economy and resource management that will take place on 27-28 May 2015 in Budapest, Hungary. This event include an international conference, an awards ceremony, a meeting of the Circular Europe Network and the ACR+ General Assembly.

On the first day, the topic of the international conference will be Moving away from landfill & incineration: circular economy in practice”. This unique programme will tackle issues related to waste management in the context of Circular Economy, including:

  • The concept of Circular Economy: sustainable resource management
  • Circular Economy in practice: the multi-R approach
  • Efficient selective collection: a key element of Circular Economy

In addition to this, the European Week for Waste Reduction awards ceremony will  take place to congratulate the best initiatives taken during the European Week for Waste Reduction 2014 edition.

The second day will take place the second workshop of the Circular Europe Network. Participants will have the opportunity to map their territories and find the key points around which articulating their circular economy strategies. This event will feature key note speecheson resource and climate indicators by Dr. Márton Herczeg (Copenhagen Resource Institute) and on territorial monitoring by a representative of Circle Economy (Netherlands).

The workshop  will be followed by ACR+ General Assembly 2015.
